RainShine Urban Forest Landcape

 

RainShine's landscape of native plants, rain gardens, salvaged hardscape materials and cisterns creates a site with runoff equivalent to an undisturbed woodland site. 

Robert M. Cain, Architect and Landscape Architect Lynn Saussy collaboratively met the owner's request for a low cost, low maintenance, sustainable landscape of drought resistant native species. 
The photos represent three years of landscape growth and reflect the owners vision of an urban forest with meadow edges interlaced with mulched walks.
