After designing the Master Plan for the Sautee-Nacoochee Community Center property and the Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia, we were approached to create a set design for their production Headwaters: Stories from a Goodly Portion of Beautiful Northeast Georgia.
We transformed the interior space of the existing, historic gymnasium and used the interior wood structure as part of the set. We used the roof rafters to hang lighting fixtures, set props and beautiful nature-inspired curtains to define the space and provide the backdrop for each play.
The main performance area is centered and comprised of multiple stages at different levels and of different sizes. The audience bleachers surround the performance area, making an intimate space where the audience is part of the production
