Habersham Mill Renders

 

The Airstream Hotel combines restored, vintage Airstreams and an existing prefabricated textile industry warehouse.  The hotel is a key component of the master plan for the revitalized former mill town of Habersham. Facing the new town square, the Hotel provides short-term lodging for guests visiting residents or seeking access to the town and region's extensive amenities.
 
Materials removed in opening up the warehouse will be reemployed in the various Hotel amenity spaces. An open circulation spline through the hotel links elements of the master plan.  Net-metered photovoltaics on the south facing roof of the warehouse substantially reduce energy consumption. New ridge mounted skylights flood the circulation spline with natural light.  Motor operated skylight panels create a stack effect enhancing natural ventilation of the open spaces.
