Mimosa Park was one of Atlanta’s first planned alternative single-family home residential communities featuring compact lots with communal green space and facilities. Vehicular circulation through the community is one lane with very few curb cuts for drives. Many homes have vehicular access through lanes to the rear. The site features extensive sidewalks, a community center and pool, public gazebos and other gathering spaces as well as links to a nearby public park and future greenway. The natural beauty of the site is enhanced by planning the lot divisions to ensure maximum retention of the site’s large and beautiful trees.
